Review:
I remember fondly, Henry Fonda and Raymond Massey as Lincolns young Mr.Lincoln and Abe Lincoln in Illinois They gave excellent performances. But here and now, with this special Steven Spielberg / Tony Kushner version, the illusion is complete. I watched the president, and not a moment thinking about the actor. That in itself is almost unique. I left the theater feeling just got out of body experience. All around the central performance - and I call it performance because I do not know what else to call it - will fall into place in a beautiful way. Photography, production design, wardrobe could really smell the period. Good luck and thank you.
