Review:
Theres no doubt about it: Meryl Streep is nominated for her 17th Academy Award for her portrayal of Britain the most controversial prime minister Margaret Thatcher in this biopic otherwise disappointing. Streep is mesmerizing as usual, but the story mode uses screenwriter Abi Morgan and director Phyllida Lloyd? sporadic flashbacks between lying on the elderly and mentally weak people, Maggie sections? is a huge failure. The scenes that trace his career from maturity through local politics, his 11 years of turbulent leadership are interesting, but they are too far and few between actually taken. Of course, it verifies the role as the famous moments to come, but a deeper understanding of how she led the country would be visited beautiful.
